...& it was a lil bit of Magic

I first met kashmo in Mumbai and the moment I laid eyes on her I knew she was the one.  Our first date was barely a few hours, we spent time talking to each other and the hours seemed like fly like seconds and before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye. I was sure more than ever that I wanted to make her mine. Once back in Dubai, we kept in touch and how! Thanks to technology distance never came in the way of spending time with each other. Each waking moment was spent texting or talking (needless to say that both of us were accused of being distracted and anti social during this whole long distance phase). We did make it a point to meet up once every month. After months of dating, I knew the time had come to pop the question. So I planned to propose to her on her b day. I picked up a nice rock to suit the occasion (she might tell u that she designed the ring but let me tell u she didn’t even know what a solitaire was). The setting was perfect, on a private terrace of one of the most romantic forts in Udaipur- Chunda palace. It was a cold February night, we sat by the fireplace, the terrace overlooked the Pichola lake. It was just as Kashmo had always wanted albeit never expected a non-romantic like me to plan. As the night drew to a close I gathered all the romantic courage I had and went down on one knee and asked her the question. I could see the surprise and happiness on her face. Oh yeah…and she said yes.  And from that moment I knew I will be the happiest person on the planet…err.. atleast most of the times (except when she doesn’t let me play my video games or stops me from wearing my shorts while going out or rations my sleep to only 8 hours in a day).
